This meeting will focus on law enforcement forecasting, specifically the identification of future law enforcement-related issues and trends and discussions on potential outcomes that can help organizations anticipate and prepare for future challenges and opportunities. Over the 1½-day meeting, multiple topic areas were will be addressed, including technology; administration; partnerships, collaboration, and regionalization; and communications and branding. A CJFG meeting was scheduled for May 8–9, 2019, in Washington, DC. Due to unforeseen circumstances and some attendees experiencing last minutes conflicts, we postponed this meeting until August 2019.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide insight into the capabilities and capacity of statewide prosecutor organizations to gather and distribute information, collect data, and reach prosecutors at all levels throughout their states; determine best practices in the prosecution of violent crimes in their states, as well as the leaders in prosecution conducting innovative programs; and discuss problems and concerns of the state organizations and prosecutors in their respective states so that new partnerships and avenues can be identified to further the work of BJA to improve and enhance prosecution at the state and local levels.
