Amanda reached out to Memphis PD for monthly check in. Asked for success stories, feedback on Western Regional training, and provided a reminder about submitting an abstract for the 4th Annual National SAKI Grantees Meeting.
Dewanna responded to the check-in stating that she would have milestones to share after their task force meeting on Friday. Memphis is considering submitting two abstracts for the Grantees Meeting: Strategic Planning for Sustainability of Your SAKI Project and Changing Your Community's Response to Sexual Assault via Education AND Awareness Campaigns Like Memphis Says NO MORE. Amanda responded that yes these topics were appropriate to submit.
Dewanna asked for an update on the SAU Assessment report. Amanda stated that it had been sent to Major Adams and Deputy Chief Crowe.
Amanda reached out to Dewanna for monthly check-in. As part of check-in, Amanda asked for information on success stories and any sexual assault awareness month activities. Amanda also provided a reminder about the National Meeting abstract submission deadline and the FY2019 SAKI Site Solicitation.
Dewanna responded to Amanda's monthly check-in email. Dewanna provided their monthly report that included their activities for April. Dewanna also notified Amanda that they plan to submit for the FY2019 SAKI Site Solicitation. Three members of the task force plan to submit abstracts for the national meeting. Dewanna plans to submit on Strategic Planing for Sustainability. The purpose is the guide other jurisdictions through the planning process and to demonstrate the value of identifying necessary human and financial and other necessary resources early on to ensure sustainability over the life of the project.
Deborah and Dewanna will also submit an abstract on Public Engagement and the Value of a NO MORE Campaign. Sandy is proposing the Value of Victim Advocates.
Amanda responded to Dewanna's email reminding her to submit the abstracts by the March 8th deadline and providing the link to submit abstracts.
