Description of the Problem

Memphis PD has a need and desire to increase the efficiency and capability to analyze data and provide timely analytical products in support of the Memphis Police Departments violent crime reduction strategy. To assess the Memphis Police Department’s crime analysis capacity and processes, along with identifying areas of analytical gaps and needs. The Memphis Police Department expects to receive feedback, recommendations and nationwide best practices related to their capability to analyze crime data.
