January check-in with Austin consisted of a conversation with a newly hired grant coordinator, Natalia Lee. She will be working underneath Kyran Fitzgerald. We discussed the role of a site liaison and what RTI can do to provide TTA to Austin during their period of performance.
Potential to schedule a follow-up phone call.
A check-in led to conversations with Lt. Laduque regarding CODIS Hit follow up resources.
Chris sent three documents to Lt Laduque, all regarding CODIS hit follow up and case review.
Natalia Lee reached out with interest in creating a SAKI website for Austin.
Chris sent several examples and explained the importance of using the appropriate channels of approval before launching a website.
A monthly check-in consisted of conversations with Jennifer Thompson regarding mental health of practitioners themselves, as opposed to victims.
Jennifer will follow up with her colleague and Chris will connect them with Dr. Rebecca Campbell and potentially Amy Jeanguenat.
Chris and Natalia Lee exchanged emails after Chris reached out for a check in. natalia asked about specific language for the hiring of a non-system based victim advocate. Chris mentioned that Cleveland would be a great peer-to-peer connection and connected Natalia with Teresa Stafford at the CRCC.
Chris spoke with Jennifer Thompson and Stacy Milender at the Grantees Meeting about a struggle Austin is seeing between the police department and their partner, UT-Austin. Jennifer suggested that obtaining a privacy certificate would assist them in fostering the relationship between the entities, and Chris agreed.
Chris chatted with Becki Campbell, and subsequently confirmed via email, the process that UT-Austin needs to go through in order to obtain this privacy certificate. Chris sent UT-Austin the process that is necessary to obtain the privacy certificate as well as a few examples that Becki Campbell sent for Chris to share with UT-Austin.
