An intermediate peacemaking training will be held as a follow-up and continuation of the introduction to peacemaking training. This intermediate training will include next steps, and strategic planning for implementation. The training will include both lecture-based formats that will re-establish the goals and cornerstones of peacemaking, discuss the ethics of being a peacemaker and review ways to collect pre/post evaluation data to should your court's success. Mock-peacemaking sessions will take place in the afternoon of both days so that participants are able to take part in a circle and be a peacemaker. At the end of the training, participants will have the necessary skills to being practicing as a community Peacemaker.

An initial phone meeting was conducted with the trainers and the Ho-Chunk contacts to discuss possible dates for the 2-day trainings. Dates were decided as September 24 - September 25, 2018
A call was conducted with one trainer to discuss what the next steps are in developing a Peacemaking court - this was more focused around logistics and what the Ho-Chunk staff could do on a day-to-day basis to move the process forward. The discussion resulting in the trainer agreeing to conduct a separate call with the Ho-Chunk staff and provide a basic overview of the steps that he would recommend they take.

A planning meeting was conducted to discuss main goals and objectives of the training and develop and agenda. Goals include: develop an outline of the next steps for developing the Peacemaking court, providing attendees with a hands-on opportunity to learn and practice peacemaking and re-establish the basics of Peacemaking.

NAICJA staff completed a slide deck of 10-slides that will be presented by NAICJA staff at the Ho-Chunk Training. The session will cover the importance of evaluating a measuring the outcomes of a Peacemaking court and the ways that Ho-Chunk could easily collect pre/post data.

The two-day intermediate peacemaking training was conducted. A total of 23 attendees were present. The training included both lecture format and opportunity for trainees to practice and take part in interactive mock-peacemaking sessions. Evaluations were handed out at the end and through initial review showed a high-level of satisfaction with the overall training.
Evaluation and satisfaction surveys were processed from the training. Results were positive with an average of 4.3 or above on all 7 questions
