**California is looking to become an immersion state. The Blue Courage Train the Trainer is foundational to creating the skill set for California to drive Blue Courage throughout it's police academies and agencies for statewide penetration. The purpose is to train leaders in the various California agencies, police and sheriff departments to become self sustaining to facilitate the Blue Courage Course. This course is designed to support steps leading to the immersion of Blue Courage in all Academies and Police Departments in the United States. This is a 4-day certification course that trains participants to
effectively teach Blue Courage to their organizations. Upon completion of the Blue Courage Academy (TTT), participants will be fully equipped with the facilitation materials, tools and skills to prepare them to present the 2-day Blue Courage: The Heart and Mind of the Guardian course. During the Certification portion of this process attendees will learn deep background in the teaching and methodologies of Blue Courage, review best practices and have opportunities to practice teach parts of the Blue Courage curriculum. This will enable the department to become self sustaining in training the rest
of their department. Blue Courage is a synergistic blend of education, principles, practices, skills, and tools that go beyond the classroom environment to foster a culture of leadership, character, nobility and service. Blue Courage focuses on both training to develop officer safety skills and education to enhance mindfulness and deepen awareness, intention, and self-control. Attendees will learn to effectively manage stress, and minimize the confrontational aspect of policing by learning to police and de-escalate through influence rather than control and confrontation.
