• Meeting with Director (Government Relations, MDOC), Director (MDOC), and Deputy Director (MDOC) to discuss implementation progress and challenges.
• Meeting with Senior Program Officer (Montana Healthcare Foundation) to discuss the intersection of the Montana Healthcare Foundation’s interest in behavioral health and justice reinvestment.
• Observation of 13 parole board hearings to provide feedback on the implementation of parole guidelines and interviewing skills.
• Meeting with Acting Chair (MBPP), Government Affairs Coordinator (Office of the Governor) and four MBPP staff to discuss observations and next steps.
• Observations of programming at Riverside Women’s Treatment Facility.
• Meeting with the Montana County Attorney Association Board of Directors to discuss the implementation of justice reinvestment in Montana.
• Meeting with Director (Quality Assurance, MDOC), Quality Assurance Specialist (MDOC) and one additional MDOC staff member to discuss establishing a quality assurance process for a risk and need assessment and programming.
• Joint presentation with 94th District Representative and 89th District Representative at the Montana County Attorney Association Conference to discuss the implementation of legislation passed in the 2017 session.
• Meeting with Chief County Attorney (Yellowstone County) to discuss county attorney needs and progress made in Yellowstone County.
• 11/2: Call with Legislative Champions (Representatives) to discuss a joint presentation at the Montana County Attorney Association conference on December 1st.
• 11/3: Call with Acting Chair (MBPP), Director, Human Resources (MDOC) and seven MDOC staff to discuss subaward submission, the December 1st MCAA conference, and upcoming site visit schedule.
• 11/6: Call with Bureau Chief, Probation and Parole Division (MDOC), Chief Executive Officer (Boyd Andrew Community Services), Director of Development and Administration (CCCS) and four MDOC staff to discuss modifications to MDOC's Montana Incentives and Interventions Grid (MIIG) as a result of Senate Bills 63 and 64.
• 11/16: Call with Administrator (Probation and Parole Division, MDOC), Chief Executive Officer (Boyd Andrew Community Services), Director of Development and Administration (CCCS) and seven MDOC staff to discuss modifications to MDOC's Montana Incentives and Interventions Grid (MIIG) as a result of Senate Bills 63 and 64.
• 11/17: Call with Director (MDOC), Administrator (Probation and Parole Division, MDOC) and four MDOC staff to discuss the outcome of the legislative special session, the creation of a public facing dashboard, and the December 8th Criminal Justice Oversight Council.
• 11/21: Call with Quality Assurance Specialist (MDOC) to discuss findings from observations conducted at Riverside.
• 11/28: Call with Legislative Champion (Senator) to discuss the upcoming MCAA conference.
• 11/29: Call with Executive Director (MCAA) to discuss the MCAA board meeting and MCAA conference presentation.
• 11/30: Call with Director (Government Relations, MDOC) to discuss the December 8th Criminal Justice Oversight Council, and CSG Justice Center staff’s presentation of data.
