11/21 - Meeting with Catherine York (Chief Executive to County Executive David Villanueva) and Laura Foster (Management Analyst) from the Sacramento County Criminal Justice Cabinet to introduce the project and discuss opportunities in Sacramento. (2 people, representing 1 agency)??
11/21 - Meeting with Dr. Tiffany Janz (Director of Research Services), Mark St. Pierre (Asst Director, Bureau of Criminal Analysis), Justin Rosen (Deputy Legislative Director) from the CA Department of Justice Attorney General's Office to introduce the project and discuss the possibility of sharing data for all law enforcement agencies in the state. (4 people representing 1 agency)??
11/19 - Meeting with Undersecretary Mark Tollefson, Deputy Secretary Stephanie Dougherty, Captain Mark Davis, Lt. Mark Headrick, and Sgt. Chris Armstrong from the California State Transportation Agency to introduce Justice Counts and discuss ways it might support their work. (5 people representing 2 agencies)??
Objective 1: Use the hub and spoke model to engage all necessary and appropriate subject matter expertise to support Justice Counts design and implementation.?? (Partners)?
Objective 2: Continuously review the metrics, technology, solution for states, and related resources and refine as needed.?? (Tier 1 Metrics and TIGs/ Publisher Updates)?
Objective 3: Promote Justice Counts with the goal of increasing participation and support.? (Developing Promotional Materials and Conference Appearances)?
In New Mexico, CSG Justice Center staff completed a Justice Counts tool for the New Mexico Association of Counties for an upcoming presentation to New Mexico County Commissioners.
This month, participating Justice Counts agencies used resources created by CSG Justice Center staff in the following ways:
Objective 7: Facilitate the adoption and implementation of Justice Counts in additional states. (Light Touch States)?
Objective 9: Provide structured, ongoing support up to 15 Category 1 grantee states and support the field. (IG States/ Vendor and Automation)?
Objective 1: Use the hub and spoke model to engage all necessary and appropriate subject matter expertise to support Justice Counts design and implementation.?? (Partners)?
CSG Justice Center staff met with the Levin Center State Oversight Academy and the University of Cincinnati's Corrections Institute to discuss collaboration points across projects and met with the National Criminal Justice Association to discuss expanding outreach.
