On December 6, Center staff hosted an in-person site visit for Alyssa Figueras, Assistant Vice President, Funding Agreements of the New York City Economic Development Corporation. The visit included an overview of the history and evolution of Midtown Community Court, the court's approach to early diversion, and its community programs. The site visit also included a tour of the facility, an opportunity to observe court, and a conversation with Judge John Zhou Wang.

On November 29, Center staff hosted an in-person site visit for Alicia Scampoli of New York State's Unified Court System's Office of Justice Initiatives. NACDL will send attorney and mitigation specialist subject matter experts to the Maricopa County Public Defender Capital Unit to train the entire office (including newly hired staff) on best practices in mitigation. The training will focus on trainees' existing cases and utilize the Bring-Your-Own-Case (BYOC) model to the extent feasible.

APA will host bimonthly virtual peer-to-peer (P2P) exchanges on topics of interest selected by the Advisory Committee and/or practicing prosecutors. Additionally, APA will conduct in-person site visits as needed and requested by prosecutor offices to implement promising and model practices informed by the results of the survey, SMEs, and the CCLI committee.

Center staff hosted an in-person site visit for Ruby Qazilbash, Deputy Director of Policy & Cornelia Sigworth, Associate Deputy Director at the Bureau of Justice Assistance. The site visit included meeting a an over of the Center, a site tour, and various discussions.

Center staff organized and hosted a in-person site visit to Newark Community Solutions (NCS) for two individuals from the Paterson Law Department. The site visit, hosted by Kelly Mulligan-Brown, the Director of New Jersey Programs, included an observation of the community court process in preparation for a potential assessment contract for a community justice initiative assessment in Paterson.
