September 10: CSG Justice Center staff met with Jennifer Tarwater (Director of In His Wings Ministry) and Jarrod Self (DOC Area Manager) to learn about the reentry treatment model at In His Wings. (2 people representing 2 agencies)

September 10: CSG Justice Center staff conducted two anonymous focus groups with individuals receiving treatment at In His Wings through DOC Reentry to hear about their experiences within the program. (15 participants representing 1 agency)

September 10: CSG Justice Center staff met with Ryan Burton (Area 4 Manager), Daryl Aikman (Assistant Area Manager), Matthew Drake (Assistant Area Manager), and Heather Gonzalez (Assistant Area Manager) to learn about their experiences leading community supervision offices and discuss the challenges they are facing. (4 people representing 1 agency)

September 10: CSG Justice Center staff met with probation and parole officers at the Jonesboro Area Office, under anonymity, to hear their insights on the challenges they face within community supervision. (3 people representing 1 agency)

September 10: CSG Justice Center staff met with Jimmy Gazaway (Arkansas State Representative and Task Force Member) to share preliminary data analysis findings related to crime and arrests in Arkansas. (1 person representing 2 agencies)

September 11: CSG Justice Center staff met with staff at the Northeast Arkansas Community Correction Center (Phillip Glover [Supervisor], Jacqueline Boyd [Correctional Officer], Andre Harris [Correctional Officer], Rebecca Whitaker [HR Coordinator], Laurie Ray [Program Coordinator], Martha Washington [Treatment Coordinator], Porcelain Hill [Counselor], Pamela Walker [Counselor], Joseph McArthur [Treatment Supervisor]) to learn about facility operations and programming. (9 people representing 1 agency)

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance In September, the Recidiviz team completed UXR to refine the draft tools. However, progress in accessing additional data has been delayed due to PADOC's difficulty in getting data from their new system. The CSG Justice Center team met with the Director of the PADOC Bureau of Community Corrections (BCC) to discuss additional implementation support for the Monthly Metrics Reports for BCC Facilities and Centers, which are provided by CSG Justice Center staff.

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance In September, CSG Justice Center staff continued to meet monthly with NYDOCCS staff to discuss the progress of the project. On August 13, NYDOCCS re-submitted the scope of work for review and approval to the Contractor Procurement Unit (CPU). Due to being short-staffed, the CPU has not been able to provide a tentative date as to when they will be able to review due to backlog. NYDOCCS reported that they met with the CPU on September 17 to discuss the importance of getting the RFP approved and posted.

Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In September, CSG Justice Center staff continued to meet with WADOC staff to discuss the progress regarding the partnership with the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA), who is expected to complete the legislation proposal for the Superior Court Domestic Violence Court. WADOC finalized the YWCA contract for the services they will be offering program participants and the creation of the legislation proposal.
