Cher-Ae Heights Indian Community of the Trinidad Rancheria is a FY22 Adult Treatment Court Grantee. Trinidad Rancheria Court Administrator, Megan Yost, scheduled a time to meeting their new Wellness Court Case Manager, Angela Easterling. In this meet and greet meeting, a request for onsite TTA was made and planned for May 13-14, 2024. The onsite included Wellness Court Specialists Kristina Pacheco and Alyssa Harrold, Skadden Fellow Grace Carson, and Tribal Court Collaboration Specialist Chantel Cloud.

Held on July 17, 2024. This webinar was designed to provide practical strategies and insights for fostering effective collaborations to consider while developing Peacemaking courts/circles models. Participants learned how to enhance their peacemaking efforts through strong partnerships. Understanding the diverse experiences, views, and cultures of partners will help to create a safe environment for gaining consensus. Building and sustaining partnerships for peacemaking is crucial for ensuring long-term success in conflict resolution and community harmony.

On March 7, 2024, Center staff Karen Otis, Kelly Van Develde, and Courtney Williams presented at the annual New York Association of Treatment Court Professionals (NYATCP) conference in Saratoga Springs, NY. Their presentation titled “New York State Guide to Treatment Court Fidelity and Sustainability” provided an overview of the New York State guide to treatment court fidelity and sustainability, introduced fidelity resources and partners, demonstrated how to increase access and utilization of fidelity resources, and displayed the fidelity guide on the NYATCP website

NACDL and its partners offer ongoing technical assistance to capital defense teams who attended Bring-Your-Own-Case (BYOC) programs or in-office training programs conducted under the Capital Case Litigation Initiative (CCLI). This technical assistance leverages topics covered during the BYOC programs, surfaces topics that are needed in future training programs, and helps NACDL and its partners track and monitor trainee teams’ case status.
