The coaches provided assistance in completing the implementation guide and time task plan. Coaches also helped to review their staffing plan and sent resources to the grantee to assist the facility in keeping youth safe from sexual abuse.

The coaches spent two days onsite to do an assessment to gauge PREA implementation to inform the development of the implementation plan. It consisted of a facility tour and meetings with key personnel as well as development of an outline of the implementation plan.

TMG Coach Shilrey Moore Smeal has sent a draft implemenation guide to NYDOC and has emailed periodically along with other TMG staff about the status. To date it has not been submitted to BJA.

On January 22, 2020, CJI staff traveled to Nashville to deliver a presentation to the House Judiciary Committee which highlighted the main findings and key data points from the October presentation. During the presentation, CJI staff tool questions from multiple Judiciary Committee members. CJI staff traveled to Nashville again the week of February 3rd to meet with legislators from the Judiciary Committee to follow-up with answers to their repective questions and inform them of the teams' willingness to be a resource for them throughout this process.

On January 21, 2020, the CJI team held a National Partners call to discuss the drivers of Tennessee's prison population and strategies for improving outcomes. The team shared project findings with national partners and discussed details about Tennessee's ongoing data-driven process.
