Justice Counts attended Indiana statewide Pretrial Working Group to get a better understanding of the landscape related to that metric section. Meeting was facilitated by Mark Spitzer (Judge, Grant County) and attended by superior and circuit court judges, a representative of the Indiana State Police, and the Indiana Public Defenders Office.

Meeting with Darren Allison (Interim Chief of Police) and Tony Jones (Interim Assistant Chief of Police) from Oakland Police Department to introduce them to Justice Counts and encourage them to opt in.
Meeting with Rachel Weiss (Legislative Research Analyst) from the Montana State Legislature Research Division to discuss the initiative and our progress in the state. She provided insight into strategizing our recruitment efforts.Â
Recruitment meeting with Judge Mike Menahan and Bri Lake (Program Analyst) from the Lewis and Clark County Department of Criminal Justice Services who also serves as chair of the Lewis and Clark County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council. We presented the initiative, and he opted in and provided insight behind the role of the CJCC.Â
