The Urban Institute serves as the main point of contact for the Justice Reinvestment Initiative for potential sites. In that role, Urban monitors a JRI email address, through which it fields questions from potential JRI sites. Urban also responds to media inquiries and general questions from academics and practitioners about JRI.

TMG has worked with Melinda Allen on prior PREA work and she is former corrections herself. She is able to work with them on a variety of areas and when COVID is less of a concern, will be within a 5 hour drive of them and can assist with on site work as needed.
Coach created and edited their implementation plan along with the site and has been available for assistance and questions. Coach identified a TA provider to assist them after an on site assessment of needs and goals.

The coaches provided assistance in completing the implementation guide and time task plan. Coaches also helped to review their staffing plan and sent resources to the grantee to assist the facility in keeping youth safe from sexual abuse.

The coaches spent two days onsite to do an assessment to gauge PREA implementation to inform the development of the implementation plan. It consisted of a facility tour and meetings with key personnel as well as development of an outline of the implementation plan.
