The OAS Team of PRC recently conducted a webinar showcasing the Online Audit System from the perspective of an Auditor. The webinar covered various aspects such as reviewing material provided by the facility in the PAQ and Supplemental Files, generating and using the Issue Log, responding to provision findings, making compliance determinations, completing the Post-Audit Reporting Information section, and submitting the Auditor Compliance Tool. Additionally, the team shared some useful tips and tricks to improve efficacy and efficiency while using the OAS.

The PRC is contracting with Arkus, Inc. to review existing PRC Salesforce security settings and recommend changes according to standard security best practices. This includes reviewing user access to records and files, user session settings, login password security, multi-factor authentication for login, and record page layouts. In addition to these recommendations, Arkus, Inc. implemented a suite of security settings (Salesforce Shield) that strengthens the PRC's cybersecurity posture.

Throughout this quarter, CJI staff continued to follow up on the New Mexico Unification Task Force established through SM6/HB11 and work toward readying the state for a full JRI engagement.

In April, members of the CJI team traveled to Albuquerque for meetings to advance our ripening efforts. On April 19, we attended a day-long event with the Criminal Justice Coordinating Councils from around the state.

The project team held a virtual conference with BJA grantees and provided an opportunity to learn from other grantees and to present on their grant related activities, including updates on their progress (e.g., technologies purchases or installed, policies developed or implemented, etc.), as well as any successes, challenges, or lessons they’ve learned executing their grant.
