On November 13, 2024 , a member of the State and Local Anti-Terrorism Training (SLATT) Program team and a SLATT subject-matter expert (SME) delivered in-person training at the Combined Law Enforcement and Intelligence Group Annual Conference, hosted by the Maryland State Police and the Mid-Atlantic Great Lakes Organized Crime Law Enforcement Network, Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) Center, in Ocean City, Maryland.
On November 13, 2024 , a member of the State and Local Anti-Terrorism Training (SLATT) Program team and a SLATT subject-matter expert (SME) delivered in-person training at the Combined Law Enforcement and Intelligence Group Annual Conference, hosted by the Maryland State Police and the Mid-Atlantic Great Lakes Organized Crime Law Enforcement Network, Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) Center, in Ocean City, Maryland.
The SLATT monthly partner meeting was held on November 21, 2024. SLATT partner meetings are convened to discuss current initiatives and progress toward completing SLATT tasks.
During the month of November 2024, 68 new SLATT user accounts were created. Of the new accounts, 22 were approved as SLATT direct accounts, 33 were created via RISS program credentials, and 13 were created via Federal Bureau of Investigation, Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal, program credentials.
The SLATT team addressed approximately 13 inquiries received from users submitting questions or requests using the “Contact Us” button on the slatt.org website. Inquiries related to SLATT training, resources, webinars, publications, login issues, website access, and general questions.
On October 20, 2024, a SLATT team member provided a SLATT Program Overview at the State and Local Criminal Intelligence Briefing hosted by BJA, on behalf of the Criminal Intelligence Coordination Council (CICC) and Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative, in Boston, Massachusetts. Approximately 52 CICC members attended the event.
On October 17–19, 2024, a member of the SLATT team attended the Association of State Criminal Investigative Agencies (ASCIA) Fall Conference, hosted in Boston, Massachusetts. Approximately 200 ASCIA members attended the event and were provided with SLATT Program information, including half cards and a QR code that linked to the SLATT website and SLATT resources. In addition, on October 19–22, 2024, members of the SLATT team attended the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference, also hosted in Boston, Massachusetts.
On October 17, 2024, members of the SLATT team and two SMEs provided virtual training to members of the Dane County (Ohio) Sheriff’s Office, Special Events Team.
Fund speakers (SMEs) for two onsite and in-person training events on October 2 and 9, 2024.
On October 9, 2024, members of the SLATT team and two SMEs delivered an in-person training presentation titled, “Terrorism, Targeted Violence and Hate Crimes: Current Threats, and their Connection to Suspicious Activity Reporting.” The two-hour presentation consisted of lessons from the PROTECT course curriculum and was hosted by the Amtrak Police Department as a component of their Field Intelligence Officer Conference, in Wilmington, Delaware.
