The Building Bridges initiative helps jails expand access to opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment both during incarceration and upon reentry into the community. Selected sites receive intensive training and technical assistance to support the implementation of medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Each team or individual is assigned a site liaison for monthly check-ins, resource sharing, support, and next-step planning.

Participants explored strategies for collaborating with community providers and best practices for supporting justice-involved individuals to ensure continuity of care.
