We would like to have an independent review and analysis of workload division among attorneys and staff, and the efficiency of current practices, with recommendations for improvement to more effectively manage and clear cases.

On 12/16/2021 NJC participated in a webex virtual meeting with officials from the Gila River Indian Community Court to discuss requirements for a Court Clerk Supervisor position.

AEquitas provided a brief presentation on The Prosecutors' Guide for Reducing Violence and Building Safer Communities at the annual conference of the Major Cities Chief's Association on 8/11/21.

Center staff coordinated a call for case managers and navigators, which focused on current programming, mental health and housing services, and brainstorming strategies to keep service providers engaged.

Center staff coordinated a virtual call for judges. Topics discussed included transitioning from remote to in-person operations , re-engaging social service providers, and COVD-19 adaptions that have been effective

Center staff organized and hosted an in-person site visit to Miwa Kato, the Director of Operations for the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and Baz Dreisinger, Executive Director of Incarceration Nations Network. At the site visit, attendees learned about Red Hook Community Justice Center's model of problem-solving and community justice in hopes of bringing information back to her colleagues at the UN as well as with other practitioners in the international community.

Center staff organized and hosted a virtual site visit to Midtown Community Court (MCC) for eight assistant district attorneys from the District Attorney's Office of NY (DANY). The site visit included a site tour and a discussion on the substance of work and programming at MCC.

Center staff organized and hosted an in-person site visitto Midtown Community Court (MCC) for representative of New York County Defender Services. The site visit included meeting a site tour, discussions, and overviews of Community First, Project Reset and UpNext.

Center staff organized and hosted an in-person site visit to Midtown Community Court (MCC) for Shiri Wolf, the Chief Legal Counsel at the NYC Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice. The site visit included a tour of MCC, an update on programming during COVID-19 pandemic, and a discussion on future programming at MCC.
