The PRC hosted a virtual Auditor Refresher training with a webinar on a variety of topics for auditors including auditing LGBTI+ PREA protections and a discussion on promising practices with the Oregon DOC. There was also a small group breakout activity following the session where auditors discussed scenarios and things to consider when auditing PREA protections. The training was mandatory for certified and probationary auditors and counted toward the maximum hours of annual continuing education requirements for auditors.
Operated the auditor certification process for auditors who completed their Field Training Programs during the reporting period and who signed their auditor certification agreements. This includes communicating with them about deadlines, the responsibilities of a probationary auditor, and the requirements that must be met to become fully certified. Upon completion of the necessary steps, we also updated our public auditor directory to display the newly certified auditors names and basic information about them.
During this reporting period: Jenny Lutz, formerly of The Center for Children's Law and Policy, now with the PRC, held one (1) cohort call for the TIPS juvenile project sites.
