This last of the four quarterly convenings of the Community-based Reentry Initiative Track grantees was held in-person over 1.5 days in Annapolis, MD. Participants engaged in a variety of sessions with the following objectives:
- Explore best practices in reentry services
- Identify lessons learned, areas for growth, and next steps for grantee programming and for the field
- Connect with other community-based grantees to share and learn about challenges, successes, and innovations

In this fourth and final virtual convening for the YR Track of SCA grantees, CCETAC coaches brought together track grantees, including Tribal grantees, and experts for an interactive virtual convening to discuss, share experiences and lessons learned, and build community. Participants heard from presenters on the Critical Importance of Integrating Culturally Specific Approaches for Justice-Involved Youth.

Webinar in collaboration with COSSUP, Altarum, Fox Valley NCJTC, Tanana Chiefs Conference, Alaska Behavioral Health, Cook Inlet Tribal Council, Southcentral Foundation, Volunteers of America and Alaska Tribal Justice Resource Center. This panel presented on current Peer Recovery Support Services in each region, in addition Jennifer Galvin presented on the process to become certified in Alaska to be a Peer Recovery Support Services Specialist.

The Tribal Law and Policy Institute sent each FY23 Adult Treatment Court - Tribal Healing to Wellness Court grantee a welcome letter. This letter introduced the TLPI organization, TLPI THWC staff, possible TTA services available, links to THWC resources and potential team training, webinar information for the Tribal Judicial Insitute's BJA Expectations webinar, and links to a scheduling poll for a virtual Tribal TTA overview and a short questionnaire to gauge implementation progress.

Gila River is a FY23 Adult Treatment Court - Tribal Healing to Wellness Court grantee. Gila River submitted a TTA request after identifying legal screening and participant enrollment challenges. Gila River's Rachel Hernandez and Court Administrator Joanne Perry would like to meet internally to gather feedback on TTA needs, to include information on what other THWCs are doing and the benefit of Wellness Courts for a tribal community. The proposed training plan is for a 1.5-2-day onsite training scheduled for February 21-22, 2024. TLPI Consultant Julie Wilkens will join Ms.

The Chickasaw Nation is a FY23 Adult Treatment Court - Tribal Healing to Wellness Court grantee. Their grant planning and implementation project will be to re-implement their THWC which was recently revitalized (May 2023). Wellness Court Specialist/TA Coach Kristina Pacheco and Skadden Fellow/TA Coach Grace Carson are guiding through meeting the foundational training requirement since they completed All Rise's Foundation Training in the Summer 2022. Technical assistance will also include document review by Wellness Court Specialist Alyssa Harrold and Ms. Pacheco.
