This 24 hour course was designed for law enforcement officers who are patrolling major highways, city streets in all parts of their communities, including all rural areas. This course has been designed to address the issues, in which they are commonly encountered by the officer during a criminal interdiction encounter.

When risk factors affect the health, safety and quality of life; it takes a community response to positively impact change. Successful IASAP planning requires interagency cooperation and community member involvement. Interagency cooperation and community involvement in problem identification and development of effective strategies are significant for making changes and improvements. This training is designed to help executive teams develop and implement comprehensive interagency action plans based on community needs.

The Ho Chunk Adult Healing to Wellness Court has been in operation for several years. In addition to the adult court, the Ho Chunk Nation operates a Family Healing to Wellness Court and is planning a Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court.

This onsite was requested to provide training for new members, revisit the current phases, and explore team dynamics.

The Fort McDowell Adult Healing to Wellness Court reached out to the Tribal Law and Policy Institute requesting an onsite visit to address recent turnover among staff, resistance in communication, and general angst in team dynamics. The Tribal Law and Policy Institute conducted an initial onsite visit in July 2015. As a follow-up, TLPI was requested to conduct a follow-up onsite visit to follow-up with action items, provide training on potential due process concerns and needed policy changes, and to follow-up with internal team dynamics.
