Guided by a licensed therapist, this unique program has been thoughtfully designed to bolster the efforts of the Emmett Till Cold Case Investigations and Prosecution Program grantees. At the heart of "Healing Conversations" lies the recognition that unresolved trauma and collective pain continue to reverberate through generations affected by historical injustices.

Subgrantee, Sanford PD, would like to visit another New England/Northeast agency/PD that is doing similar work. Would like to talk through best practices and learn from others if possible. Need assistance to identify an agency. RTI team met with PAARI representative to discuss ideas and have potential sites and trainings to share with subgrantee in the upcoming check-in call.

The Los Angeles, California, Police Department (LAPD) hosted four personnel from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Police Department (PPD) on a very aggressive 3-day peer exchange. Day 1 started with opening remarks from LAPD Chief Dominic Choi and his executive staff followed by an overview of the Community Safety and Partnership Bureau headed by Police Administrator Joel Lopez. The PPD then attended a meeting with the Watts Gang Task Force and concluded with a presentation by ZenCity highlighting community assessments and surveys.
