The Memphis, Tennessee Police Department, as part of the Memphis National Public Safety Partnership (PSP) site, requested assistance in producing strategic plans, as well as evaluating current practices, regarding efficiently and effectively investigate violent crime in Memphis. The request was transferred to a new contract.

The New York City Police Department Special Projects requested information on implicit bias training for personnel and assess training presentations. BJA NTTAC provided various resources for law enforcement personnel related to training in the event of an administered assessment. We included information regarding FLETC and IADLEST.

SEARCH staff assisted the New York City (NY) Police Department, with information concerning a stolen Sony PlayStation gaming console. Staff provided the requester with four documents that outlined the circumstances in which Sony Entertainment could obtain an IP address for the console, how to serve legal process on Sony Entertainment, and how to trace the IP address back to the stolen console. In addition staff provided the requester with links and instructions on how to access and request other SEARCH publications and online training.

Staff provided the requester with documents that outlined the circumstances in which Sony Entertainment could obtain an IP address for the console, how to serve legal process on Sony Entertainment, and how to trace the IP address back to the stolen console.

SEARCH staff assisted the San Jose (CA) Police Department in tracking a Sony PlayStation that was being used online by a juvenile that was considering suicide. Staff referred the requester and contacted a legal contact for Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC, to provide assistance.

SEARCH staff assisted the Hollister (MO) Police Department, with information concerning serving legal process regarding credit card fraud, used on the Sony PlayStation gaming network. Staff provided the requester with how to serve legal process on Sony Entertainment from the SEARCH ISP List website.
