Focus/Advisory Group Working Session

On February 27, 2025, the SLATT Program team hosted the quarterly SME meeting (virtual). Nearly all SMEs were present, and those that were unable to attend were provided a link to review the meeting on-demand. Several updates were provided during the meeting, to include curriculum development, upcoming deliveries, and administrative matters related to travel and reimbursement processes. The group then engaged in a roundtable and open discussion on emerging threats and future potential focus areas for the SLATT Program.

The SLATT monthly partner meeting was held on February 6, 2025. SLATT partner meetings are convened to discuss current initiatives and progress toward completing SLATT tasks.

On January 8, 2025, BJA and the SLATT team hosted an advisory board meeting. The meeting began with opening comments from the BJA senior policy advisor followed by SLATT Program updates and a roundtable discussion.

NW3C will send Robin Elkins to attend conference sessions and network.

NW3C is sending staff Jeff Lybarger to run the NW3C/BJA exhibit at the 2024 National Public Safety Partnership (PSP) 10th Anniversary Summit: Building Safer Communities Together to communicate the resources offered by BJA/NW3C.

As a member of IPAC, NW3C will send two staff, Jeff Lybarger and Glen Gainer, to attend the IPAC Meeting. They will engage in discussions on helping to ensure that training and standards meet the needs of the Public Safety industry, promoting the adoption of best practices, and providing IADLEST with perspectives and recommendations regarding selected IADLEST projects and initiatives.

NW3C will send two staff, Jeff Lybarger and Glen Gainer, to attend the Major County Sheriffs of America Policy Conference in order to gather the latest best practices that can be incorporated into the NW3C educational products.

NW3C will send staff Jeff Lybarger, Glen Gainer, and Michelle Kreps to exhibit at the NSA winter conference and attend sessions throughout the event.

NW3C will send Jim Emerson to lead the Computer Crime and Digital Evidence (CCDE) Committee and attend other IACP committee meetings.
