Over the past six (6) months, the IACP has tracked interest for the CRIT curriculum, CRIT training, CRIT Train the Trainer events, and CRIT policies from fifteen (15) unique individuals, policing agencies, and other organizations across the United States. The IACP has responded to these requests for information and, in some circumstances, hosted informational sessions with the requesting agency to answer their questions and provide support as needed.
Met with retiring Roanoke, VA Assistant Chief as he is becoming director of VA CIT Coalition to discuss CRIT. Made the connection at IACP's annual conference.
During this reporting period, TTA Program staff collaborated with PSP and the SLATT Program on the development of a tri-branded resource, A Toolkit for Law Enforcement on Protests and First Amendment Issues. The product was disseminated to all project sites and posted on the Hate Crimes TTA Program Website.
CSG Justice Center staff held a call on 11/26/24 with Utah DOC leadership about R2030 and to learn more about reentry work and priorities.
CSG Justice Center staff held a call on 11/8/24 with DCYF and DOC leadership about interest in Reentry 2030.
CSG Justice Center staff conducted the following activities:
On 11/1/24 had an initial call with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).
On 11/7/24 had a call with CDCR Secretary and leadership team about Reentry 2030 and if CA would like to move forward with a launch plan.
On 11/15/24 had a touch base call with CDCR leadership.
CSG Justice Center staff virtually attended the Workforce Arizona Council Meeting to hear discussion on potential R2030 goal of increasing job access / economic mobility. CSG Justice Center staff had a call on 11/14/24 with the AZ DOC point of contact.
CSG Justice Center staff coordinated via email on 11/1/24 with the Reentry Council and Washington State DOC staff to schedule a state leaders meeting for 11/5/24 at 1 PM EST/10 AM PST. CSG Justice Center staff followed up with WA DOC via email on 11/1/24 regarding the internal data meeting. WA DOC responded that the meeting took place but the data team was not prepared and would reschedule. CSG Justice Center staff emailed WA DOC on 11/1/24 to coordinate logistics for the SCA Conference with DOC and CSG Justice Center staff.
