During the month of February 2025, the IIR Information Technology team completed two enhancements related to the www.slatt.org website, as follows: (1) a quarterly checklist was developed based on the security scans from January, 2025 (no major issues were identified); and (2) a weekly scan was implemented to identify issues that may arise in the following categories: content policies, quality assurance, accessibility, search engine optimization, amount of downtime, and statistics.

Two SLATT/START publications, as detailed below, were approved by BJA, and posted on the SLATT website on January 13, 2025:
• “Trends in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Their Implications for Law Enforcement” outlines the evolution of UAVs from recreational and commercial devices to tools increasingly used by malicious actors. It highlights the three most common criminal and terrorist applications of UAVs and discusses key technological advancements that will further enhance their capabilities.

During the month of January 2025, the IIR Information Technology team completed two enhancements to the www.slatt.org website, as follows: (1) quarterly security scans were conducted; and (2) the new carousel with banners was completed and published to highlight training courses on the SLATT online eLearning “Training” page. As part of this enhancement, the “Learn More” button directs users to the IIR LMS where they initially must sign but are automatically directed on subsequent visits.

Substantial migration was done during this reporting period of the entire WalkingOnCommonGround.org site from the ColdFusion platform to the update WordPress platform. WalkingOnCommonGround.org WordPress launch was completed on May 31, 2024. New resources, events, funding opportunities, updated content, and news stories related to tribal courts, tribal justice systems, and intergovernmental collaboration continued to be uploaded to Walking on Common Ground website during this period. We continue to update any broken links identified on WOCG. (Task 5.2)

The Tribal Access to Justice Innovation (TAJI) website is an excellent source of promising programs throughout Indian country and provides examples of programs focusing on alternatives to incarceration, corrections and reentry, jurisdictional collaborations, traditional courts and more. The Center for Justice Innovation envisioned and developed this website. CJI will work as a project partner to continue updating, enhancing and maintaining the TAJI website. Monthly webinars and resources have been updated to the site.

TLPI disseminated all post-conference materials for the 2024 American Indian Justice Conference held on July 30-31, 2024 in Albuquerque, NM. on WalkingOnCommonGround.org (Task 4.2). The Tribal Law and Policy Institute has archived all available training materials from the 2024 American Indian Justice Conference as part of our Tribal Justice Systems resource library.

IACP shared about the Iowa Supporting Growth After Tragedy training on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, including pictures and brief summary of the training. IACP shared information about the Hope After Tragedy Webinar in the Lead, on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter). IACP shared about the Nashville Supporting Growth After Tragedy training on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, including pictures and brief summary of the training. It was also shared in the Lead and on IACPnet.

The Virtual Academy website is designed to help corrections analysts, administrators, and stakeholders working in the criminal justice system enhance their knowledge and skills in analyzing and applying data to improve the effectiveness of correctional systems.

The website provides resources, training tools, courses, and materials for users to navigate.

During this reporting period, the NTCRC continued to implement design changes to improve the user experience on our website in addition to regular maintenance updates to information being presented (homepage changes monthly, adding resources as necessary). Additionally, the NTCRC is working to include information on places that NTCRC research has been cited. The NTCRC maintained an ongoing index of federal grants that were open to treatment court programs, as well as grant writing resources for successful applications. Mobile optimization and design work continues.
