Changing Landscape of Terrorism and Violent Extremism: On May 3, 2022, the SLATT team hosted a webinar focused on terrorism and violent extremism. START Director, William Braniff, facilitated the webinar as the guest speaker and provided an overview of the threat landscape, noting that violent extremism motivations and ideologies change over time, interact with the information environment in new and different ways, and often generate violence utilizing a variety of weapons, tactics, and targets.
