"Priority Area 1: Facilitate a Working Group to finalize and implement administrative policy and practice changes identified during the Phase I process. Update: In January, CSG Justice Center staff met with the working group to give an overview of JRI efforts in Minnesota, Senate File (SF) 2909, the Community Supervision Advisory Committee’s (CSAC) responsibilities in statute, the role and responsibilities of the working group, and how the groups interact in supporting the CSAC in developing statewide policy recommendations.

"Priority Area 1: Data Analysis Analyze data from the Department of Corrections (DOC), KSP, AOC and other state agencies (where appropriate and available) to quantify the number of people involved in Kentucky’s criminal justice system for DV- and IPV-related offenses, with the goal of identifying the full scale and impact of these offenses on the state’s criminal justice system and the potential for reducing prison and jail populations and improving interventions.

"Objective 6: Provide intensive TA to 10 states, supporting the adoption and use of the Justice Counts metrics to drive decision-making. (Founding State Work)  In Louisiana, CSG Justice Center staff introduced the initiative to the Louisiana District Attorney’s Association, Judicial District 20 Public Defense, and the Victim Witness Specialist Office of the US Attorney’s office within Middle Louisiana. CSG Justice Center staff also continued relationship building with follow-up meetings with the Louisiana Public Safety and Community Corrections and East Baton Rouge CJCC.

"Objective 5: Develop and run a national campaign to educate criminal justice agency leaders, policymakers, and the public about the Justice Counts metrics. (Website Work)  The Justice Counts Impact team met in person to begin the work of updating the Justice Counts website and developing tools for agency leaders and policymakers.  "

"Objective 1: Develop standards for local jurisdictions and state criminal justice agencies that will result in data being accurately and comprehensively aggregated at the state and national levels. (Tier 2 metrics and TIGs)  In March, CSG Justice Center staff continued to work towards the public feedback period by refining the content for the web update that will accompany the public feedback period and planning for promotional activities.  "

"Priority Area 1: Work with state agencies to receive and analyze data to identify drivers of Arkansas’s high recidivism rates and understand how recidivism contributes to overall crime and incarceration rates. Update: In April, CSG Justice Center staff received data from the Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC). The Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) data was received in the prior month. CSG Justice Center staff received word from the Arkansas Department of Corrections (DOC) that the full data request is expected to be delivered by mid-May.

Update: During the middle of January, CSG Justice Center staff received the first signed data use agreement (DUA) from the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC) and provided the technical means for ADC staff to begin uploading data to CSG Justice Center servers.
