In June, CSG Justice Center staff worked with Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) staff to review and revise all website content in response to feedback from the BJA policy and communications teams. CSG Justice Center staff then finalized all the necessary changes with the web developer, Eleventy, for the final website design. On June 23, CSG Justice Center staff, CJI staff, and Eleventy presented a demo for BJA evaluation. Feedback and updates were successfully incorporated on the website platform by the deliverable deadline of June 30.

In May, CSG Justice Center staff worked with Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) staff to finalize the website mockup and interactive map based on incorporated feedback from BJA, CJI, and CSG Justice Center staff. Web developer Eleventy then began the site build based on the revised website mockup. In addition, CJI and CSG Justice Center staff reviewed and revised project content in response to feedback. This included adding outcome statements in the state summaries document, revising the interactive map to match the approved updated matrix categories, and revising the landing page text.

In April, CSG Justice Center staff worked with CJI staff to finalize and submit all the related assessment content items for the JRI website to BJA. The content featured summaries of each stateÕs JRI project, an update to an existing Pew Charitable Trusts matrix that categorizes statesÕ JRI policy and practice changes, and language for the JRI landing page, state-level TTA process landing page, and interactive map landing page. In addition, CSG Justice Center staff collaborated with the web developer, Eleventy, to develop a first draft of the website mockup.

In April, CSG Justice Center staff traveled to Arizona to meet with the staff of the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission. CSG Justice Center staff presented an overview of the project, spent time discussing shared goals and objectives for the project, set a timeline and deliverables for the first year of the grant, and began a data mapping exercise.

CSG Justice Center staff also worked with staff from other states receiving implementation grants to plan for future site visits and deliverables coordination.

On June 5th & 6th, 2023, members of the Law Enforcement team and the National Policing Institute hosted a Knowledge Lab Convening in Denver, CO. The convening was attended by representatives from all 15 Law Enforcement Mental Health Learning Sites and subject matter experts in police mental health collaborations. The Knowledge Lab Convening featured panels and speakers who discussed constitutional policing, procedural justice and best practices in mental health response.

On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, BJA, SAMHSA, and the CSG Justice Center convened a National Forecasting Group Meeting on the shared the opportunity 988 presents for law enforcement. The meeting set out to achieve the following goals: Build a collective vision for 988 as a shared opportunity for behavioral health providers, law enforcement, and communities, including the opportunities presented by the new national dialing code to reduce avoidable contact with the criminal justice system and address disparities.

In June, staff from the CSG Justice Center expanded their efforts to develop relationships and plan for implementation across grantee states. This included site visits to Illinois and Oregon, as well as virtual meetings with stakeholders in Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.
