With the application period closed in July 2020, no further application submission activity occurred on the SWB website. However, the website was retained for purposes of providing answers to frequently asked questions or to provide a communication option for subaward recipients via the “Contact Us page.”
During this reporting period, the SWB website received 299 page views, 178 sessions, and 160 unique users.
This event is open to children and stepchildren, ages 21 and up, whose firefighter parent has been or is approved to be honored at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland. In direct response to requests from adult children within the Fire Hero Family community, the Adult Children's Retreat, the first NFFF event that specifically serves adult children (ages 21+) of fallen firefighters focuses on promoting healing, resilience, and connection with others who are walking a similar path.
Project Kickoff: This FTP hosted its project kickoff call on July 6, 2023. The faculty for the audit team was present, as were facility staff that would be involved in the hosting process. We discussed future communications, expectations, and a general overview of the FTP and its requirements. Agenda items included communications, the Pre-Audit Questionnaire, auditor assignments, and logistics.

In this reporting period a total of 44 one-on-one calls were convened collectively among ten FY2021 cohort grantees, in addition to ad-hoc calls.
In this kick-off session of the Leadership Academy, participants will start to discuss leadership through the lens of understanding self and others. The goals of this session include, understanding the difference between managing and leading; becoming more self-aware, improving communication and learning to leverage their strengths and identify blind spots; improving trust, communication, and engagement with their team; and understanding their impact on others and adjusting their leadership style to effectively build relationships with others.
Proposed Activity: NAICJA proposes to conduct two (2), two-day Roundtable Conferences – one in Anchorage, Alaska, and one in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with proposed sessions outlined below.
