The first in-person convening of the second cohort of Reaching Rural fellows will bring together 85 rural practitioners from across the country to expand their leadership skills, engage them in project and systems planning, and highlight successful and innovative strategies to address SUD in small and rural communities.
The Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) hosted a group peer exchange for sites to learn about its use of risk-terrain modeling as an analytical tool. Attendees were provided with an overview and presentation of risk-terrain modeling including the development and use of the program at the KCPD. The attendees also participated in group exercises, and the day concluded with a roundtable discussion by KCPD field assets on their use of risk-terrain modeling. The exchange consisted of five attendees from five different PSP sites.
