Virtual-based Technical Assistance Interviews for treatment court staff members as part of Adult TA initiative.
Racial and ethnic disparities appear in all areas of the criminal justice system, including community supervision. Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) are overrepresented in probation and parole and are disproportionally impacted by technical violations and revocations. Applying a racial equity lens to agencies’ policies and practices is critical to mitigating these harms, promoting the success of BIPOC people under supervision, and ensuring community well-being.
