From this training program, learn comprehensive exploration of the diverse devices and interconnected systems responsible for generating valuable data. As a result of the DHS–IACP Intelligence Summit held in Alexandria, Virginia, in September 2022, the after-action report published in later 2022, and in consultation with Global DFO, GAC and CICC leadership, CICC members voted on and approved the DHS proposal to initiate a project to address the findings and to advance the recommendations as identified during the Summit. Work on the task teams continued during the current reporting period.

As part of the Community Trust Initiative (CTI) project, the IACP organized a media training program focusing on the unique challenges faced by first-line supervisors and command staff. Laura McElroy, a highly respected authority in media relations, guided participants through advanced techniques and strategies for managing media interactions and public statements. Participants learned about how to confidently and effectively engage with media representatives, handling inquiries with poise and clarity.
