Oregon SAA asked for more information and resources on Community Violence Intervention strategies ahead of the release of the SCIP federal funding. NCJA provided programming examples and promising practices.

South Carolina Department of Public Safety is interested in using Byrne JAG funds to support Community Violence Intervention strategies and is requesting assistance from NCJA in language for solicitations and program implementation support. Meeting to discuss in more detail in January 2022. Met to discuss and have been suspended as SC determines strategic plan.

Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs requested assistance to understand Community Violence Intervention Strategies so that they could determine if this was an area in which they would like to allocate Byrne JAG funding. NCJA provided them with information regarding different programming models including pros and cons of each model and the components they would need in order to make an informed decision regarding funding allocation
