Analysis Area 1:?Facilitate a cross-system data match between DHHS and county jails to identify the overlapping population of people who have behavioral health challenges who move through local criminal justice systems and identify high utilizers of both systems. CSG Justice Center staff will conduct an in-depth descriptive analysis of the matched Medicaid claims data to provide information on trends in services accessed in the community by people incarcerated in each participating jail.

In September, CSG Justice Center staff began planning a VACA kickoff webinar for November 8, 2023. The webinar will allow research and corrections analysts to learn more about the program, receive results from the VACA engagement questionnaire, make peer-to-peer connections, and gain insight from an SME in the corrections field.??

Justice Counts Partners?
In October, CSG Justice Center staff continued partner engagement to develop contract deliverables, gain insights about agency recruitment and engagement, and plan for an upcoming partner summit. CSG Justice Center staff worked internally and with partner staff to develop new deliverables to be included in amended contracts for work to be done in 2024.?

In November, CSG Justice Center staff finalized the Phase II implementation plan, which will be submitted once the Letter of Interest (LOI) is formally approved by BJA. CSG Justice Center staff met again with the Minnesota implementation working group to provide updates on the status of the LOI and to continue planning for additional technical assistance.

In August, CSG Justice Center staff continued planning for the next phase of implementation of equitable statewide supervision policies and practices through the establishment of consistent service standards.
Priority Area 2:?Assist the existing?Court Services Tracking System (CSTS) data committee in developing a core set of supervision outcomes to measure supervision success across delivery systems.
