Bring Game Changer Program to VCU for an in person event.
Game Changer brings together community members, law enforcement, judicial and legislative branches of government for moderated focus groups. Together we discuss community problems and devise solutions. Dinner and event tickets are provided. Pre and Post perception surveys are completed by each participant to generate data
The San Francisco Police Department is requesting TTA for a grants/resources assessment.
The VPD realizes the benefits that can come from a properly trained staff who can incorporate trauma-informed systems methodologies into to their response to calls for service. As such we would ask the NTTAC to assist us in developing a Trauma-Informed Systems curriculum to deliver to our staff. We would hope to make such a curriculum comprehensive enough to attain California POST certification.
The Fitchburg Police Department is a member of a five agency Multi-Jurisdictional Public Safety Information System. The five agencies (Middleton Police Department, Monona Police Department, Sun Prairie Police Department, Verona Police Department and Fitchburg Police Department) all border the city of Madison, WI. This area - Madison and the surrounding cities - make up the primary PSN enforcement area for the Western District of Wisconsin. The trainings requested will help these agencies in the investigation of violent crimes involving firearms.
We are requesting support to train approximately 132 detectives with iKat Limited. Through the course of the training, iKat will help us identify a cadre of BPD trainers that will go through skills development with iKat so we are able to have a sustainable training program for the future.
1.) Learning to Automate our stat reports with our new RMS system and using SSRS.
2.) Learning ArcGIS so that I can make mapping products for patrol/special teams.
3.) Learning to make better products for patrol/PIO/public.
The Lawrence Massachusetts Police Department requested support with their Body Worn Camera Policy. BJA NTTAC closed this request due to an unresponsive requestor.
The Florida Sheriffs Association and Florida Sheriffs Risk Management Fund (FSRMF) are hosting a webinar for our law enforcement agencies on possible funding opportunities for bulletproof vests. FSRMF extended an invitation for a representative from BJA's BVP program office to join us for this presentation to talk about the federal program and possibly walk our agencies through a demonstration of the online application process. BJA referred FSRMF to the BJA Bulletproof Vest Grant Program.
The Anniston/Oxford PSP site requested support for one officer to attend an IACA ArcGIS webinar.
