Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc

RurAL CAP, founded in 1965, is a private, statewide, nonprofit organization working to improve the quality of life for low-income Alaskans. Governed by a 24-member Board of Directors representing every region of the state, RurAL CAP is one of the largest and most diversified nonprofit organizations in Alaska. In fiscal year 2015, RurAL CAP employed 727 Alaskans in 60 communities statewide and operated on $43 million in conjunction with its for-profit subsidiary, Rural Energy Enterprises.

New York University

The Litmus group is in the Marron Institute of Urban Management at NYU. Litmus promotes innovation in criminal justice, working with public agencies across a range of policy issues to engage stakeholders, help identify and develop promising strategies, support constant process improvement, and foster organic innovation through ongoing iterative evaluation. Litmus operates the BJA Swift Certain Fair Resource Center, supporting state, local, territorial, and tribal jurisdictions and agencies in implementing and testing innovations in community corrections.

AEquitas

AEquitas' mission is to improve access to and the quality of justice in gender-based violence and human trafficking cases through an informed practical, and innovative approach. AEquitas' staff is comprised of former prosecutors, with over 100 years of collective experience who conduct legal research; provide 24/7 case consultation; serve as instructors at training events and webinars; and publish resources.

Urban Institute

The Urban Institute’s Justice Policy Center staff members conduct research and evaluations and provide technical assistance to improve justice policy and practice at the national, state, and local levels. Urban researchers examine the development, implementation, and impact of policing, crime prevention, and gang disruption initiatives. The work includes a large breadth of topics ranging from risk assessment, community corrections and reentry, human trafficking, forensic science, courts and sentencing, to gun violence.

National Police Institute

The purpose of the National Policing Institute is to help the police be more effective in doing their job, whether it be deterring robberies, intervening in potentially injurious family disputes, or working to improve relationships between the police and the communities they serve. To accomplish their mission, they work closely with police officers and police agencies across the country, and it is in their hard work and contributions that their accomplishments are rooted.
