The CSG Justice Center Housing Team kicked off the Zero Returns to Homelessness (ZRH) National Cohort with a virtual orientation and launch call with the 6 jurisdictions selected for the Cohort through a competitive application process. The 6 jurisdictions represent state and local criminal justice systems across states, Tribal Nations, and county / local jurisdictions, as follows: Idaho: State DOC, State Housing and Finance, City of Boise / CoC, GEO Reentry Services; Kentucky: City of Louisville, Goodwill; Michigan: State DOC, State Dept.

In this session, participants will understand the specific needs for African American/Black (AA/B) and explore strategies to improve behavioral health outcomes for this population.

On October 15, the CSG Justice Center spoke with RTI International to discuss and coordinate work around behavioral health calls for service. During the call, attendees talked about the work that each organization is doing in this area, discussed common challenges and barriers, and found opportunities for collaboration. On November 13, the CSG Justice Center spoke with representatives from Pew during which we shared a list of policy recommendations and potential products that will come out of the 911 project.

This session provided attendees with engagement strategies to enhance protective factors and build recovery capital for youth involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems.
