The "COVID-19: Managing the Stress of Uncertainty by Taking Care of You" webinar will help policy makers and all disciplines of correctional staff provide training and technical assistance on effective management of employees and subsequent related stressors that can be caused by pandemic-type occurrences. This live webinar will also be made available on demand on the American Correctional Association's resource center to the public and individuals who were not able to access the live event.

The National Criminal Justice Training Center of Fox Valley Technical College is hosting a classroom training in Mayetta, Kansas on February 26, 2020 to share resources and best practices needed to support quick and critical responses to reports of missing, abducted, and sexually exploited children. This training is primarily for front-line telecommunications personnel, telecommunications supervisors and directors, and front-line law enforcement officers.

Take steps toward implementing a successful Child Abduction Response Team (CART) by bringing together a team of experts whose knowledge, skills, and abilities will be beneficial in a child abduction case. Participants will learn how to develop a multidisciplinary CART for responding to endangered, missing, or abducted children. Hear about the impact a child abduction has on the family and learn the fundamentals of developing an effective, responsive CART.

Gather up-to-date information for the investigation and prosecution of all types of child abuse cases utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach. Learn about medical evidence, interviewing child victims/witnesses and adult suspects/witnesses, along with legal issues involved in the investigation and prosecution of child physical and sexual abuse cases.

This training and technical assistance conference is the second annual conference devoted to the development and support of pre-arrest deflection (PAD) efforts across the United States, as well as the promotion of strategies to build the treatment and fund capacity to sustain them.

Brief Overview: The course is designed to give a greater understanding of the intricacies of modern child sexual/physical abuse investigations. The course will explain some of the challenges law enforcement faces today given various social movements and some negative publicity in the media. The goal is to give the consumer a greater understanding of how these investigations unfold and an understanding of both positives and negatives when presenting cases for charging.

This webinar will examine how experiences of gendered violence create pathways for girls into the juvenile justice system, with an emphasis on crossover from the child welfare system into the juvenile justice system and how girls in the child welfare system are more susceptible to sexual exploitation.
