The Hate Crimes TTA Program hosted their second program wide virtual forum to grantee sites on November 15, 2023. There were 48 registrants for this virtual forum, resulting in 38 attendees from 23 different agencies.
"To offer training and support to these grantees on a national level, BJA, with the support of its technical assistance provider The Council of State Governments Justice Center (CSGJC), convened a National Crisis Stabilization and Community Reentry Program Symposium on September 13th and 14th, 2023.
CSG Justice Center staff held 614 technical assistance phone calls with all active grantees during the July-December 2023 reporting period.
During the reporting period, NCJA partner, the National Governors Association, continued to hold monthly calls for Criminal Justice Policy Advisors (CJPAs) and State Administering Agencies. In addition to these calls, NGA also provided direct assistance to states on various topics including, red and yellow flags, xylazine, frameworks for responding to fentanyl and opioid use disorder, and state police dashboard cameras.
This is a three-module webinar delivered over three weeks. The audience is those individuals working in training units or assisting in curriculum development. The modules build off each other and include developing a personalized training evaluation and analyzing data to show a return on investment for training. There is a facilitator guide, PowerPoint presentation, intersession homework, added resources, and videos of the pilot of the three webinars to the training directors of the nine on-site visit agencies.
During this site visit, CSG Justice Center staff conducted a site visit with The National Incarceration Association Inc. team in Roswell, GA.
