PREA Standard 115.71 Criminal and administrative agency investigations provision (e) requires: the credibility of an alleged victim, suspect, or witness shall be assessed on an individual basis and shall not be determined by the person?s status as inmate or staff. This 90-minute webinar covers many aspects of credibility assessments and better defines what is meant by documentation of credibility assessments as mentioned in the Standards, to include a review of the discussion in the PREA Final Rule.

The PREA Resource Center (PRC), in partnership with Just Detention International (JDI) and 5ive hosted a webinar to introduce newly developed PREA education videos to help adult and juvenile facilities meet the PREA education requirements of the US Department of Justice's National Standards to Prevent, Detect, and Respond to Prison Rape (115.33 and 115.333). Through the use of graphics and animation the developers created videos like nothing currently in use and are guaranteed to grab people's attention.
