On September 20, 2022, a member of the SLATT team, provided virtual customized technical assistance and training (TTA) during the Army Antiterrorism Strategic Plan Working Group meeting, hosted at Ft. Eustis, Virginia. The TTA was requested by the Antiterrorism Division, Office of the Provost Marshal General, Department of the Army, to provide a comprehensive overview of the SLATT Program and to identify potential training and collaboration opportunities to enhance Army Standalone Facility Protection across the country.

Deflection and Pre-Arrest Diversion: A Public Health & Safety Response to Stimulant and Other Substance Use in the Community

The 2022 Police, Treatment, and Community (PTACC) Deflection and Pre-Arrest Diversion (PAD) Training Summit was held in Chicago, Illinois on August 2-5, 2022. Nearly 300 people attended (including approximately 100 COSSAP grantees) from 35 sites. Attendees included law enforcement officers and other first responders, behavioral health practitioners, community-based service providers, deflection program managers, researchers, and officials from the local, state, tribal, and national levels.

Two-day, in-person mentor professional development training featuring five training sessions, with topics focusing on the mentor program and its volunteers in veterans treatment courts. All sessions will include a 45-minutes to a one-hour-long presentation followed by 15 minutes of Q&A.

Monthly meetings with the individual pilot project site, Alaska Legal Services Corporation (ALSC) to plan and implement a holistic defense pilot project.

As part of CHJ's intensive TTA, individual calls will be scheduled with grantees biannually. Initial introductory calls included discussion about:
What top priorities does the grantee have for their program over the next 3-6 months
At what level of readiness is the grantees program currently at to implement these priorities
Are there any partnerships/collaborations with various local/state organizations in place yet (or in the works)

This workshop training presentation highlighted results of the 2020 National Staff Wellness scan and subsequent publication that was made available to the field.
