A virtual meeting to discuss challenges facing women in law enforcement. The CoP will convene additional times in future reporting periods.
In compliance with our BJA funding agreement, the NDCRC attended NADCP's RISE23 conference in-person in Houston, Texas, sponsoring a booth at the exhibitor level. NDCRC staff traveled by plane and shipped materials to distribute at the booth. Seven full-time staff members and two graduate students attended the conference from Sunday, June 25 to Thursday, June 29. Staff were present at the booth for two and a half days to network with attendees, answer questions, and demonstrate resources available from the NDCRC.
This Second Chance Month webinar will provide a preview of an upcoming brief on implementing forensic peer services into reentry programming and will explain what a forensic peer specialist is. Presenters will walk through the steps involved in developing a forensic peer program and how these programs are used to serve people in the justice system who have mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders.

CJI is collaborating with CSG and BJA to assess the impact of JRI. This includes conducting research withing a small number of states to demonstrate JRI impact on systems, communities, and people.
CJI is collaborating with CSG and BJA to assess the impact of JRI. This includes creating briefs documenting JRI outcome information from a sub-set of JRI states.
CJI is collaborating with CSG and BJA to assess the impact of JRI. This includes working together to develop a JRI website for users to learn about JRI work within participating states. The website will include an interactive map with summaries of JRI work in each of the states, and a matrix of policy changes across states since the inception of JRI.

2. Provide recommendations for improvements to the tools to better supplement the paroling authority’s discretionary decision-making process and/or condition-setting; including testing recommendations on study cohort to demonstrate impact
