Responding to the 2019 Second Chance Act Community-Based Adult Reentry Grant Program Solicitation

In this webinar, officials from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance and the National Reentry Resource Center review the Second Chance Act Comprehensive Community-Based Adult Reentry grant program and its application process. These grants are designed to support community- and faith-based organizations in expanding on or implementing reentry programs that demonstrate strong partnerships with corrections, parole, probation, and law enforcement agencies or other reentry service providers.

COAP Rural Responses to the Opioid Epidemic Solicitation Webinar

On behalf of the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), the Institute for Intergovernmental Research is releasing the Rural Responses to the Opioid Epidemic Grant solicitation. BJA is sponsoring this initiative in coordination with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the State Justice Institute (SJI). This is part of a series of demonstration projects funded under the Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Program. These demonstration projects are designed to build local capacity, foster cross-sector collaboration, and support innovation.

Fostering Hope and Healing - Role of Resource Parents in Supporting Family Recovery and Family Reunification in Family Treatment Courts

In this webinar, presenters will explore the important role of resource parents in supporting the family recovery and reunification process. Presenters will share their experiences in engaging resource parents in critical activities, including facilitating quality and frequent family time, co-parenting with the birth parent, and providing a trauma-informed approach. Additional technical assistance resources, including a pre-recorded video presentation, team discussion guide, and “Take Action” guides will also be provided to enhance learning.

In this webinar, officials from the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance and the National Reentry Resource Center will review the Comprehensive Community-Based Adult Reentry grant program and application process. These grants will provide up to $1,000,000 for a 36-month project period to nonprofit organizations, tribal nonprofit organizations, and tribal governments with a documented history of administering comprehensive, evidence-based reentry services

Criminal Justice Technology Forecasting Group Meeting #4

RAND plans to conduct the fourth in-person meeting of the Criminal Justice Technology Forecasting Group. This meeting will focus on addressing the top two topics for follow-on research from prior CJTFG meetings: identifying the most promising emerging technologies for sharing and using information, and determining top business cases for sharing information across the criminal justice enterprise.

BJA NTTAC Webinar - "Tips for Reporting on Training Performance Metrics"

On Tuesday, June 14, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC) will host the webinar "Tips for Reporting on Training Performance Metrics". The webinar will review the performance metrics associated with training engagements in the BJA Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Reporting Portal, and offer tips for entering training activities and reporting training performance metrics thoroughly and accurately.
