July 1-July 31, 2024, Monthly Activity; During this reporting period, there were approximately 20 emails and other announcements, that were sent out to the grantee or sent internally regarding the grantee TTA needs. Included in the emails were resources regarding training announcements, and other relevant resources including webinar materials, and resources from webinars. Some emails included project partner TJI regarding resources around their public defender needs. Many of the resources were shared via constant contact.

Held on December 18, 2024 in collaboration with our training and technical assistance partners – the UND School of Law – Tribal Judicial Institute (TJI). This webinar presented by BJ Jones, Tribal Judge and Executive Director at TJI and Michelle Rivard Parks, Tribal Judge and Associate Director at TJI and former Tribal prosecutor. This webinar included a discussion on both civil commitments and criminal competency issues in criminal proceedings in Tribal courts.
