The Little Rock, Arkansas Police Department (PD), as part of the Little Rock Violence Reduction Network (VRN), requested technical assistance in Project Safe Neighborhoods and Drug Market Intervention. Michigan State University (MSU) School of Criminal Justice was selected to provide the assistance, and conducted a two-day site visit to administer and assessment pool and provide assistance on partnerships, collaboration, and implementation of evidence-based practices. The final report was delivered to Little Rock VRN in November 2016.

The Little Rock (AR) VRN site has requested training in Project Safe Neighborhoods and Drug Market Intervention. The training is tentatively scheduled for early August.

Dr. Adam K. Matz, research associate with the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA), will be a co-presenter with Dr. Bitna Kim, associate professor with Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), on a panel presentation at the annual meeting of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) entitled "Barriers to formal police and community corrections partnerships: A comparison of police chief and chief probation/parole officer perceptions" on March 30, 2016 from 11:00-12:15pm (MST).
