"Objective 1: Use the hub and spoke model to engage all necessary and appropriate subject matter expertise to support Justice Counts design and implementation.  Partner Update: In February, CSG Justice Center staff presented at the America Probation and Parole Association Executive Summit to 25 attendees on the project and provided a supervision-specific demo of Justice Counts Publisher. CSG Justice Center staff followed up with all attendees, and three meetings have been booked as a result of the presentation. "

"Objective 5: Provide structured, ongoing support up to 15 Category 1 grantee states and support the field (4.2 Year 2 â€" Justice Counts Tool Implementation) State Engagement Update: In Arizona, CSG Justice Center staff were on site and met with the Coconino County Public Defender, Coconino Sheriff’s Office, Flagstaff Municipal Court, Flagstaff Police Department, Coconino County Superior Court, Pinal County Attorney, Pinal County Sheriff, Pinal County Public Defender, and the Casa Grande City Attorney.

"Objective 2: Continuously review the metrics, technology, solution for states, and related resources and refine as needed. Metric Update: In January, CSG Justice Center staff worked with staff from Measures for Justice and the National Center for State Courts gain the support of the Judicial Focus Group on the Tier 2 Metrics and to distribute the amended slate to the Courts and Pretrial Subcommittee for their approval. "

CSG Justice Center staff also participated in the National District Attorney’s Association Prosecutor Day of Action in Washington D.C. "

"Objective 1: Develop standards for local jurisdictions and state criminal justice agencies that will result in data being accurately and comprehensively aggregated at the state and national levels. (Tier 2 metrics and TIGs) CSG Justice Center staff met in NY to discuss onboarding work, vendor relations, and metrics development. This meeting contributed to work on multiple objectives of the grant, as discussion covered topics relevant to Objective 1 and Objective 3. "

"Objective 5: Develop and run a national campaign to educate criminal justice agency leaders, policymakers, and the public about the Justice Counts metrics. (Website Work)Â CSG Justice Center staff met internally to begin updating the Justice Counts website.

"Objective 6: Provide intensive TA to 10 states, supporting the adoption and use of the Justice Counts metrics to drive decision-making. (Founding State Work) CSG Justice Center staff sent out over 700 emails to leaders within law enforcement, explaining our work and requesting time to set up one-on-one meetings with our team. Additionally, CSG Justice Center staff met in NY to discuss onboarding work, vendor relations, and metrics development.  In Indiana, CSG Justice Center staff discussed statewide recruitment efforts with the Indiana Sheriff’s Association.

"Objective 6: Provide intensive TA to 10 states, supporting the adoption and use of the Justice Counts metrics to drive decision-making. (Founding State Work)  In Louisiana, CSG Justice Center staff introduced the initiative to the Louisiana District Attorney’s Association, Judicial District 20 Public Defense, and the Victim Witness Specialist Office of the US Attorney’s office within Middle Louisiana. CSG Justice Center staff also continued relationship building with follow-up meetings with the Louisiana Public Safety and Community Corrections and East Baton Rouge CJCC.
