Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance In September, the Recidiviz team completed UXR to refine the draft tools. However, progress in accessing additional data has been delayed due to PADOC's difficulty in getting data from their new system. The CSG Justice Center team met with the Director of the PADOC Bureau of Community Corrections (BCC) to discuss additional implementation support for the Monthly Metrics Reports for BCC Facilities and Centers, which are provided by CSG Justice Center staff.

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance In September, CSG Justice Center staff continued to meet monthly with NYDOCCS staff to discuss the progress of the project. On August 13, NYDOCCS re-submitted the scope of work for review and approval to the Contractor Procurement Unit (CPU). Due to being short-staffed, the CPU has not been able to provide a tentative date as to when they will be able to review due to backlog. NYDOCCS reported that they met with the CPU on September 17 to discuss the importance of getting the RFP approved and posted.

Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In September, CSG Justice Center staff continued to meet with WADOC staff to discuss the progress regarding the partnership with the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA), who is expected to complete the legislation proposal for the Superior Court Domestic Violence Court. WADOC finalized the YWCA contract for the services they will be offering program participants and the creation of the legislation proposal.

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance From September 11-13, the Recidiviz state engagement team and the project's technical lead met with stakeholders in Washington to discuss the vision for the project and ways that Recidiviz can offer support. Recidiviz received access to the required DOC data and spent the month of September getting familiar with the data to set up the necessary environment to begin analysis. The CSG Justice Center team met with WADOC leadership to present a preliminary project scope to address persistent absconsion trends in the state.

Objective 4: Establish core competencies and standards for developing hiring materials and resources for CAs and DOC leadership to assist in hiring qualified analysts and for trainings CAs in software tools, key methodological topics, and data sharing.???

Objective 7: Develop training, resources, and communities of practice to implement standards

In September, CSG Justice Center staff submitted a proposal to BJA for $3 million in additional funding for the Advancing Data in Corrections programs.?The request included 10 new RCA placements and building out the limited engagements and peer-to-peer opportunities for Virtual Academy.

Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In September, TDCJ conducted interviews and selected an applicant for the vacant Community Corrections Officer (CCO) position. The selected applicant is currently going through a background check process. CSG Justice Center staff continued the discussion surrounding the purchasing of the GoTo Webinar software. TDCJ reports that they have finalized the purchasing order through the state, yet there's been a lapse in communication from GoTo Webinar regarding the installation date.

Objective 2: Technology Development Technical Assistance In September, Recidiviz hosted representatives from the Parole Division of TDCJ at their Annual Partners Summit on September 18-20 in Seattle, Washington. They utilized that time to discuss TDCJ priorities and opportunities for Recidiviz to support their departmental goals. The Recidiviz engineering team spent the month of September continuing to ingest TDCJ data and connect with the TDCJ IT team to ask questions.

Priority Area 1: Facilitate a cross-system data match between Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and Department of Corrections (DOC) to identify the overlapping population of people who have behavioral health challenges in state and move through the county and state criminal justice system and to identify high utilizers of these systems.
