CSG JC staff conducted the quarterly implementation site visit to PBC, FL for IRES Pilot Project. NIC's Employment Retention Principles and Practices training (3-day) and meeting with lead application CJC to discuss RENEW database data collection and interventions that will count towards dosage treatment. CSG JC staff also met with core planning team to discuss employment tracks and opportunities for cross program referrals.

CSG Justice Center staff coordinated and facilitated a peer-to-peer site visit between Vermont Department of Corrections and Georgia Department of Community Supervision with the goal of providing a comprehensive overview of Vermont Department of Corrections’ SCA-funded Circles of Support and Accountability project, for adoption into Georgia Department of Community Supervision’s Statewide Recidivism Reduction grant. During the site visit, meetings focused on:

National Reentry Resource Center (NRRC) staff and Ada Pecos Melton from American Indian Development Associates (AIDA) facilitated conversations about program goals for the CSKT team. On the first day of the site visit, NRRC staff and Ms. Melton facilitated discussions about target population, collecting data from tribal and state sources, and engagement of tribal partners. NRRC staff and Ms. Melton participated in a tour of the tribal jail and discussed the FRRP?s screening and assessment process with the team.

Reentry and Workforce Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada 8/26

National Reentry Resource Center (NRRC) staff facilitated conversations about program goals for the Essex County team at the Essex County Sheriff's Department (ECSD). Sheriff Frank Cousins gave an introduction to set context for the site visit, and Henry Goodhue from Volunteers of America-Massachusetts provided an overview and update on the program. Ms. Wurzburg gave a presentation on trauma-informed care and discussed with the team strategies for integrating trauma-informed care principles into a jail setting.

National Reentry Resource Center (NRRC) staff facilitated conversations about program goals for the SCW team. On the first day of the site visit, NRRC staff and Dr. Upton participated in a tour of the downtown DCJ facility. Dr. Upton conducted a training on gender responsive services for women involved in the justice system and discussed with the team how the program incorporates these services in practice. NRRC staff and Dr.

National Reentry Resource Center (NRRC) staff and Dr. Faye Taxman and Amy Murphy from the Center for Advancing Correctional Excellence! (ACE!) at George Mason University (GMU) conducted a training on the RNR Simulation Tool and facilitated conversations about how the tool fits into RESET case management and action items for the sustainability of RESET.?

The first day of the site visit was devoted to reviewing the P&I Guide and working through it with the grantee, discussing and finalizing the program plan in preparation for submission to OJJDP.

The second day of the site visit was meant to be a meeting between the grantee, the Navajo Nation DOC, and Kayenta Township leadership. On the day of the meeting, the Navajo Nation DOC and Kayanta Township leadership cancelled the meeting. _

CSG JC staff accomplished the following goals: 1) Discussed sustainability, met with child support representative and learned how special agreement was developed 2)Strategized for sustainability of program components and transition away from SCA funding 3) Observed workship facilitation 4) Observed partners' meeting and discussed potential for additional collaborative reentry work 4) Discussed efforts made by grantee to incorporate tribal cultural competency into agency
