The requestor is in the beginning phases of exploring MAT implementation; she has requested support in learning more about implementation requirements (training, certifications, etc). She is also interested in learning more about potential funding opportunities.
This site requested information on different methods of low-barrier naloxone distribution.
Grantee feels as though a GAM is needed in the near future due to the existence of surplus funding. A GAM was discussed and the RFP for allowable use of funds was provided to grantee. Grantee is going to discuss internally and prepare a plan to move forward.
Sharon mentioned that she is very interested in increasing the county's social media presence. Rulo mentioned to her that the Chesterfield County, VA Sheriff's Office has a large following on the major platforms. Sharon was very interested in connecting with their team. A meeting between the two has been setp.
Cook County Health Department submitted a proposal for 2024 COSSUP. They recently learned that they were unsuccessful in receiving those funds. The county was looking for review feedback on the proposal. After connecting with BJA, Rulo directed them to the OJP Diagnostic Center.
The Project Director is looking for a connection to Altarum's network of Peer Support to help provide wellness options to the peers that work as a part of Project FORT.
Grantee has learned that one of their sub awardees is not able to provide the services needed under the grant. PD was lookng for ideas on ways to rescope. Rulo met with the team and provided some ideas. Grantee is going to have internal conversations and get back with plans to move forward.
Sheriff Horton is currently in conversation with his medical vendor about implementing MAT in the jail. The Sheriff requested a call to discuss the best approach when meeting with his medical prescriber, who does not have any experience with MAT. Rulo staff spoke with the Sheriff and provided answers to questions around both daily and monthly MAT options.
Grantee is looking for more information on what is allowed when spending federal dollars on harm reduction supplies. Rulo sent the grantee the link to the COSSUP Harm Reduction page that lists allowable harm reduction items. The link was originally provided by BJA.
